This is the first official blog posting of April Recruits and my first ever blog period. I am a long time Executive Search Consultant based in Atlanta GA. We recruit for companies globally and it is fascinating work. You have to be able to handle the pitfalls of urgent client needs, day and night calls, and candidates changing their mind. It is never a dull moment in this business and it can be as rewarding as it is frustrating.
For example, I received a call at 7PM est last night as I was hitting the tennis courts from a client who has an urgent need for Ruby on Rails Developers in Cincinatti, OH. I had no idea what he was talking about but said okay and by the way he wanted resumes by 10AM the next day. I sent the request over to my Ireland office and we were able to get a couple by the time I came in but these are the types of request we get.
